The UN peacekeeping force, along with forces sent by the United States and a myriad of other states, arrive in Shanghai. Though progress is slow, within several weeks they are able to successfully stabilize the city and eventually spread operations to neighboring cities and eventually the entire nation. Xanadu even sends several advisors and technology to support the effort, but cooperation remain limited mostly to providing resources to the peacekeepers. Most importantly, the peacekeeping force is able to convince the splintered militia groups to a ceasefire as negotiations begin towards disarmament and the future of China.
