Chapter 4: The Analysis of Foreign Policy

Outcome:

After much negotiation, a second possibility is reached.

Azmenistan, reluctantly, agrees to much more comprehensive limitations. It agrees not to enrich past levels needed for civilian energy, to shut down approximately half of its reactors entirely, to allow the removal of all of its stockpiles of highly-enriched uranium, and to allow weapons inspectors unlimited access for at least ten years.

What do you do now?

Accept the offerThis is a strong agreement, and will seriously limit Azmenistan's nuclear capacity. Ease sanctions immediately. Now you can focus on implementing the agreement, repairing relations with Azmenistan, and putting the region back together politically.
Reject the offerIt is still not enough. Azmenistan might still be able to race for a nuclear weapon. Demand that Azmenistan completely dismantle its civilian nuclear energy program. Once inspectors confirm this is done, you can truly rest easy about Azmenistan's nuclear intentions.
