You have brought Azmenistan to the negotiating table (with the help of international partners, of course). This is commendable. But the hard work is not over yet. You still have to come to a solution.
Azmenistan proposes a deal. In exchange for widespread sanctions relief, Azmenistan will stop enriching uranium to any levels above that needed for civilian energy, and will not build any additional nuclear equipment.
Accept the offer | You have finally succeeded in bringing Azmenistan to the table and reaching an agreement. Begin providing sanctions relief immediately, and begin repairing your relations with Azmenistan. |
Reject the offer | It is simply not enough. Not building additional equipment is not a very large sacrifice, since Azmenistan already clearly has enough to create nuclear weapons. Furthermore, Azmenistan's assurance that it will not enrich past certain levels rings hollow. It would be easy for Azmenistan to simply renege and begin enriching to weapons-grade again once sanction relief stabilizes its economy. |
